PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Hotchkiss High School Families:

My name is Marty Rover and I am excited to introduce myself as the next principal of Hotchkiss High School. I could not be more excited to hit the ground running and continue building on the outstanding tradition established at HHS. I am eager to bring my experience and skills as a leader to form strong partnerships with students, parents, and community members to ensure the success of all students. I have learned that great schools are the result of great teachers and I am thrilled to get to work with and support the tremendous staff at HHS. I look forward to celebrating the success of our students and staff and continuing the tradition of HHS being a distinguished and valuable part of this community.

Prior to joining HHS I served as an assistant principal at Delta Middle School and a math teacher at Delta High School. I have also coached baseball and golf and officiated high school basketball and baseball. I have been a member of both the DCSD calendar adoption committee and the math curriculum adoption committee. My educational background includes an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and a B.S. in Mathematics-Secondary Education from Colorado Mesa University.

In closing, I have always admired the immense pride and enthusiasm that exists not only at HHS but the community of Hotchkiss as a whole. I look forward to utilizing this attitude to continue to move HHS in a positive and progressive direction. If you have any questions, comments, or ideas to share please do not hesitate to contact me. Once again I could not be more excited for this opportunity and I look forward to becoming a member of the Hotchkiss High School family!

GO DOGS!
